Wavosaur – Free Audio Editing Program
I came across this free light-weight audio editing program when searching for plugins to make cool radio effects. The program itself is a little “old” looking, but powerful on the inside.

What makes me love this program is VTS support. You can have this free program or them most expensive professional program out there, and VTS plugins work the same. If you only bought the most professional program to use some VTS plugins, you wasted your money, because this program can run them also. I haven’t found my VTS plugin yet (a free one anyway), but I’m sure there’s something out there.
Though I prefer Audicity for recording (another free opensource audio recording/editing program, though its more for recording) because it has a better interface for it, this program looks good for more advanced editing.,

I see you say “I haven’t found my VTS plugin yet (a free one anyway), but I’m sure there’s something out there”. On the Corel web board go to the General Information & Downloads forum and look in the Free Stuff thread. There are some listed under Audio Filters in the second post.
