Needed Files:
Step 1
Open Corel VideoStudio and insert your video unto the timeline. Then click the Color Correction button button and lower the saturation a little bit. The goal is to lower it just enough to make it more black and white, while not totally removing the colors. I set mine at -13.
Step 2
Then insert a black color block unto Overlay Track #1 and extend it the length of your video. This is important.
Step 3
Click the Alignment Options and click “Fit to Screen” button, which will stretch the color block the full length of the screen. Duh?
Step 4
Click the Mask and Chroma Key button and enable Apply Overlay Options checkbox. Then as the type, set Mask, and load up the mask you downloaded.
Conclusion
Well, there you have it. A nice and simple way to make extremely professional looking video! I’ve seen this used in Documentaries, skate board videos, and others. Really looks amazing. Here is the before/after video:
