Step 1
Launch Corel VideoStudio and insert a video into the player. The one I’m using came bundled with the program and is by default in the videos screen. This is the one I’m going to use. I also cut it down to 2 seconds. You can do that by clicking on the “2″ for two seconds in the timelime and clicking the scissor icon by the video preview.
Now that’s it’s cut down, apply the “light” video filter to the video.
Now customize the filter and use the following settings. You can just copy mine. It took me a while to get it to look right, and I’m sure you don’t want to take that long.
Now copy the attributes of keyframe 1 to keyframe 2. Now, on keyframe 2, change the settings to these:
Now render our your video in your preferred format. Now, delete the video on your timeline and load in the video you just rendered. And here is my finished result:
Step 2:
Now that you got the background done, apply the “lensflare” video filter unto your video. And again, customize the filter and use the settings I worked so hard at getting. ^_^
Now copy the attribute from keyframe 1 to keyframe 2, but increase the size from 30 to 42 and the intensity knock up a notch.
Now what I did was add several more keyframes by double clicking on the “Keyframe bar”. When what I did was make sure the lens flare was always inside the bright area from the “light” filter, because it left that area. I have six keyframes total. It’s easy to figure out.
And the final result:
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial as much as I had discovering something new for VideoStudio. I’m happy with the result, but it could use some changes. I’ll play around with some masks so the sun isn’t on top of the water, that sort of ruins the relisticness of it (is that even a word?).
